Robert Gehl reports that Barack Obama is preparing for a massive, coordinated insurgency to take down President Donald Trump.
In preparation for this, he is turning his new Washington home – an 8,200-square-foot, $5.3 million mansion in the Kalorama district – into Ground Zero in this anti-Trump insurrection.
He has invited his closet personal advisor Valerie Karrett, to move in with Obama and his wife.
Obama has been given an office post-presidency, but he is forbidden from using that for political purposes – so his political planning against Trump must be done at his private home – where he pays the bills himself.
Obama’s legacy is at stake – he sees President Trump dismantling everything he had done in the last eight years – and doesn’t view Trump as “legitimate.” He is hoping to force Trump out either through resignation or impeachment, The Daily Mail is reporting.
Tuesday, we reported that Eric Holder said Obama is ready to get back into politics. “He’s coming,” Holder said. “And he’s ready to roll.”
It took some talking into by Jarrett and wife Michelle – but Obama eventually agreed to assume the mantle of opposition leader.
“No longer the most powerful man in the world, he was just observing Trump and not liking what he saw,” a source told The Mail. “He was weary and burned out after eight years in office. But Valerie convinced him that he didn’t have any choice if he wanted to save his legacy. And, as usual, he bowed to Valerie’s political wisdom and advice.”
So far, Obama’s only public comment against Trump has been a statement in support of the citizens protesting the President’s travel restrictions. They are merely “citizens exercising their Constitutional right to assemble, organize and have their voices heard by their elected officials is exactly what we expect to see when American values are at stake,” a spokesman said.
Spurred on by Jarrett and Michelle, the ex-president has come to embrace his role as the leader of the opposition against Trump, whose policies he loathes and whose presidency he considers illegitimate.
“He is going to use his immense popularity with the half of the country that identifies as liberals and progressives,” said the Obama family source. “Millions of Americans are energized and ready to take to the streets to oppose Trump, but they need to be organized and have their anger focused and directed.
“Obama is dismayed at the way Trump is tearing down his legacy—ObamaCare, the social safety net and the welcome mat for refugees he put in place.”
Obama is also dismayed at Trump’s cabinet picks, especially Jeff Sessions for Attorney General. Obama thinks Sessions is too racially insensitive to be in charge of Civil Rights at the Justice Department.
He also regrets leaving Jim Comey as FBI director. He blames Comey for Clinton’s loss by reopening the investigation into her just 11 days before the election.
