It is a tale of two Presidents. One embraced the job while the other appears to be avoiding it at every turn. Both were on Face the Nation this morning and made some amazing statements.
Former President George W. Bush has remained silent on nearly all Obama’s policies and decisions stating he doesn’t believe former presidents should be commenting or interfering with the current president. However, he did manage to get this one little jab at Obama in during his interview.
Bush while talking about about entering into the Iraqi war told host Bob Schiffer that a president’s word needs to mean something.
“When you say something as president, you better mean it,” Bush said in an interview airing Sunday on CBS’s “Face the Nation.” “Words mean something.”
Bush’s comments came as he discussed former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein. When Hussein was captured in 2003, Bush said, he told an FBI agent that he hadn’t believed Bush’s ultimatum that he step down and leave the country.
“It’s hard for me to believe he didn’t believe me,” Bush told host Bob Schieffer. “We’d given an ultimatum to the Taliban and delivered.”

Compare this to Obama who makes threat after threat, red line after red line but never follows through with his threats, especially with Syria and Russia.
Many have speculated that Obama really doesn’t like the job of being president, preferring to be on the campaign trail or fundraising and definitely playing golf. Today in his interview with Bob Schiffer he admitted as much.
“Campaiging and governance are two different things. I ran two successful campaigns and anyone who has seen me on the campaign trail can tell just how much I love just being with the American people, hearing what they care about and how passionate I am about trying to help them.”
“When you start governing, there is a tendency to sometimes for me to start thinking as long as I get the policy right then that’s what should matter… There is a failure of politics there we’ve got to improve on.”

The question is will Obama show up and govern the remainder of his term or will he just play golf and continue to illegally do whatever he wants through executive orders? What do you think?
