Donald Trump Unveils 7-Point Healthcare Reform Proposal

Trump Make America Great Again Healthcare Plan

GOP presidential front-runner Donald Trump finally revealed his highly anticipated healthcare plan this Wednesday evening, and it contained seven key provisions, according to Fox News.

Foremost on the plan was the stipulation that (1) Obamacare be entirely repealed.

“Since March of 2010, the American people have had to suffer under the incredible economic burden of the Affordable Care Act — Obamacare,” the plan read:

This legislation, passed by totally partisan votes in the House and Senate and signed into law by the most divisive and partisan President in American history, has tragically but predictably resulted in runaway costs, websites that don’t work, greater rationing of care, higher premiums, less competition and fewer choices.

And that is why Trump intends “to immediately deliver a full repeal of Obamacare” the moment he steps into office next year, assuming he wins the election.

The other six provisions are as follows:

2. Permit The Sale Of Healthcare Across State Lines

Allowing insurers to peddle their products across state lines would open the door to “full competition” and thus cause insurance premiums to go down and customer satisfaction to go up.

3. Allow Taxpayers To Deduct Healthcare Premiums

Currently, only businesses and self-employed workers reserve the right to deduct healthcare premiums from their taxes. Trump proposes that everyone be allowed to do this.

4. Expand The Health Savings Account Program

Trump wants to let Americans make tax-free contributions to their HSA accounts. He also wants to give people the power to pass their HSAs on to their heirs.

5. Impose Price Transparency On All Providers

The billionaire businessman also wants to impose transparency on doctors, clinics and hospitals. That would allow consumers to shop for the best-priced exams and procedures.

6. Pass Management Of Medicaid To The States

The government does a horrible job managing Medicaid, so why not pass this responsibility to the individual states? They would have much more incentive to eliminate fraud and abuse.

6. Remove Barriers For Drug Providers

Last but not least, Trump aspires to make it much easier for drug companies to import cheap but dependable drugs from overseas. This could save consumers bundles.

If implemented, these reforms could drastically lower the healthcare costs of all Americans, including you and me.

Trump noted in his proposal, however, that he would consider additional reforms as well.

“There are other reforms that might be considered if they serve to lower costs, remove uncertainty and provide financial security for all Americans,” he wrote. “And we must also take actions in other policy areas to lower healthcare costs and burdens.”

Namely, we need to eliminate fraud and grow the economy so that everyone can afford the type of healthcare protection they need.

Or in short, we need to do away with every single one of Barack Hussein Obama’s failed policies and … “MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
