11 Rules For Adulthood That Liberals Will HATE

Brian Thomas writes Dr. Jordan Peterson gave a phenomenal speech to Harvard University students, explaining how they can stop complaining and get what they want out of life.

“And to think that you’re coming to university to be trained to have a job,” Peterson said. “Great, that’s a hell of a lot better than being unemployed and covered with Cheeto dust while you’re snacking away in front of video game in the basement, […] but it’s hardly a triumphant call to being in the world, and that’s what universities should be calling for.”

Peterson said that college provides students with opportunities for learning that they will never have again, and they ought to be using it to “learn to think” and “work for good.”

Peterson continued: “If you have any sense, anything you want to do would be for the good, because there’s nothing more compelling, or meaningful, or useful in combating the tragedy of life than to struggle with all your soul on behalf of the good. and universities have forgotten that[…] The humanities are corrupt, and they’re corrupt because they’re not telling students this. […] Learn to think. Learn to speak. Learn to read. It makes you a superpower.”

Peterson went from attacking university establishment ways of thinking to telling a new generation of protesters what they really ought to be doing.

“The whole society around you has labored for really thousands of years to provide every single one of you with this spectacular opportunity that you have,” Peterson said. “[…] And that’s what you should be doing instead of waving placards and complaining about how you’re oppressed, for God’s students. […] It’s like ‘we’re against the ruling class.’ No, no. You’re baby ruling class members”

He was sure to upset some of the snowflakes in the room, who believe college is more of an expensive book club where participation is optional and unnecessary, since they already know everything.

This is truly some of the best advice these students have gotten, and it’s clear from their applause that they actually like it when someone tells them the truth.
