Al Franken Makes Major Announcement On Groping Allegations

Wow. I can’t. It’s just…too much. Minnesota Democrat Senator Al Franken has proven to be the true Frankenstein.

There are many different types of sexual predators in the world.

And I think Franken may be the worst kind.

He doesn’t actually think he did anything wrong.

Women must have just been confused by his intentions, his purpose.

He just likes to hug.

I repeat–his latest excuse for groping several women, one while she was sleeping–was that he just likes to hug and people may misunderstand him.

He is morally disengaging and justifying his behavior.

He hugs?

Is that what you call this?

According to The Daily Caller:

Franken released a Thanksgiving Day statement in which he attempted to downplay the allegations against him, while adding that he respects the “feelings” of his accusers.

“I’ve met tens of thousands of people and taken thousands of photographs, often in crowded and chaotic situations. I’m a warm person; I hug people. I’ve learned from recent stories that in some of those encounters, I crossed a line for some women — and I know that any number is too many,” Franken said.

“Some women have found my greetings or embraces for a hug or photo inappropriate, and I respect their feelings about that. I’ve thought a lot in recent days about how that could happen, and recognize that I need to be much more careful and sensitive in these situations.”

Despite pressure from left-wing activists to resign, Franken indicated in his statement on Thursday that he plans to stay and regain the trust of his supporters.

Four women have now “misinterpreted” Franken.

And he “respects” their feelings?

Did you respect them while you were grabbing their backside? Forcing them to kiss you? Groping them while they were sleeping?

Are you kidding me?

You respect their feelings? Is this what liberals say when they try and back out of sexual harassment?

I’m sorry I made you feel this way…I really do respect your feelings…but, you don’t understand, I just like to hug.

Talk about kicking someone while they’re down.

Please, oh please, Franken, just. own. up. to. it.

To suggest that you want to stay in office so you can earn back the people’s respect is just bananas.

You do not deserve that.

It is a privilege to serve on behalf of the American people.

You are to represent them, not grope them.

Stand up for them, not force yourself upon them.

Speak out for them, not silence them with your explanations.

Because you are a U.S. Senator, you thought you could get away with this.

You’re wrong.

What are your thoughts on Franken? Does he just want to “hug”?

Or does that sound more like comedian Bill Cosby just wanted to have “sleepovers”? Penn State football coach Jerry Sandusky just wanted to “mentor young boys”? Harvey Weinstein just wanted to help women “get on top” of their career?

Disgusting examples? Yes, they are. And that is exactly what I think of Franken’s quasi-narcissistic and sociopathic apology.
