Robert Gehl reports Cecile Richards is hilarious!
At first, when the president of Planned Parenthood sent out a Mother’s Day tweet, we thought she was serious. I mean, what’s more “anti-mother” than killing your unborn child, right? It seemed like Mother’s Day would be the exact wrong time to open your mouth if you’re in the business of abortion.
That’s why everyone was taken aback when she tweeted this little gem:
Nothing says "I love you, Mom!" like standing up for the right of mothers everywhere to get the care they need. https://t.co/uFRM9UeosH

“Nothing says ‘I love you, Mom!’ like standing up for the right of mothers everywhere to get the care they need,” she wrote. I assume that the “care they need” is giving Mom an abortion? See … that’s just crazy.
Nobody, nobody is that tone-deaf, right?
That’s why I’m certain it’s just a sick joke on her part. So I’m willing to give her a pass. At least she’s trying to be funny. It can’t be an easy job that she has, being responsible for so many abortions, so I’ll grant her a little humor in her life.
Many of you, I see, though, aren’t as forgiving. You think she’s serious.

Nothing says you respect women by denying "inconvenient" females the chance to become mothers. https://t.co/QCan2QZ1w0

@CecileRichards Nothing says “I hate you, child” by terminating his or her life.

@CecileRichards Nothing says "Happy Mother's Day" like a tweet from leader of a group that terminates motherhood.

@CecileRichards You're disgusting

Well … clearly you all don’t get the joke. You’re taking her too seriously.
I’ll prove it. Cecile provides a link to that tweet to an article she wrote. Let’s click on it. I’m sure it’s a “Got you!” page with a smiley emoticon or something like that.
“So this Mother’s Day, instead of taking your mom out to brunch or sending chocolate, commit to fighting for a government that recognizes that women deserve basic human rights and protections — including the right to decide when and whether to become a mom.”
Oh. She is telling us to celebrate motherhood by supporting people who terminate motherhood.
