BREAKING: Judge Orders IMMEDIATE Abortion For Illegal Teen

Yesterday, TFPP reported that the Trump Administration is blocking a teenage illegal immigrant currently in federal custody from getting an abortion. Now, right on cue, an activist judge is sweeping in to make sure a baby dies.

LifeSiteNews reports that US District Judge Tanya S. Chutkan, an appointee of former President Barack Obama, has ordered the administration to allow the abortion “promptly and without delay”:

Chutkan’s order even specified when the government-facilitated abortion is to take place. She must be taken to “obtain the counseling required by state law on October 19, 2017, and to obtain the abortion procedure on October 20, 2017 and/or October 21, 2017, as dictated by the abortion providers’ availability and any medical requirement.”

“Today’s ruling is outrageous and sets a dangerous precedent,” said Marjorie Dannenfelser, President of the Susan B. Anthony List. “The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services took a simple position that it would protect the life and dignity of the teenage girl and her unborn child while in their care. Shame on this judge for overruling compassionate care and instead mandating that the U.S. government help facilitate an abortion for a teenage girl” […]

“Federal law is very clear on giving the director of the Office of Refugee Resettlement the legal responsibility to decide what is in the best interests of a minor in the unaccompanied alien children program and, in this case, her unborn baby,” the HHS Administration for Children and Families told Politico in a statement. “We cannot cede our responsibility to care for minors and their babies by releasing them to ideological advocacy groups.”

The Washington Times adds that the judge warned, “Failure to comply with the terms of this Order may result in a finding of contempt.”

Neither report states whether the Trump administration will comply with the order, but quotes lawyers from the Justice Department stating the obvious about the deadly precedent it would set if the Left got their way in this case: for the feds to facilitate this abortion would “provid[e] incentives for pregnant minors to illegally cross the border to obtain elective abortions while in federal custody.”

On Twitter, Conservative Review’s Daniel Horowitz is currently going nuclear not only on Chutkan, but on those on the Right and within the GOP who have tolerated judges imposing nakedly-lawless rulings on the rest of the country:

Complaining is not enough. Writing is not enough. Criticizing activist judges is not enough. The next step is demanding that the lawmakers we elected to protect the country from this abuse of power remember that the Constitution’s system of checks and balances is a two-way street.

First, the Trump Administration should cite the president’s coequal right and responsibility to defend the Constitution, and simply ignore Chutkan’s unconstitutional order. Next, Congress needs to impeach Chutkan for violating her oath of office. Then, Congress needs to get to work impeaching a lot of similarly-rogue federal judges, start curtailing federal courts’ jurisdiction on issues where they can be least trusted, and explore reorganizing and potentially even abolishing courts that are beyond salvaging. The Constitution gives Congress the power to do all of that for precisely this reason.

In short, the solution is for Republicans to start doing their damn jobs … and to kick them the hell out of office if they refuse.
