Clinton Was So Confident Of Victory She Bought Second Home

Maybe I’m cold hearted. But I just love these stories about Hillary Clinton.

The Hillz was so incredibly confident that she would beat Donald Trump (big grin) that she purchased a second home to accommodate what would have been her White House staff.

Would have been…if she would have won.

According to The Washington Free Beacon, she told CBS:

“I thought I was going to win,” she said.

The New York Post reported last year on the Clintons paying $1.16 million for the three-bedroom, ranch-style home next to their house in Chappaqua. The newspaper’s source said at the time it was thought to be a weekend retreat for their daughter Chelsea’s family.

In an interview from her home on the CBS program “Sunday Morning” delving into her 2016 election defeat, Clinton was asked about the property after she discussed attending President Donald Trump’s inauguration.

Host Jane Pauley noted Clinton had been “so sure” she would be the one giving the inaugural address in January.

Sooooo sure. Until you’re not.

Until you lose to someone who no one ever thought in a million years would win an election.

Especially a presidential election.

But Hillary was soooo sure, she bought a house.

Most people don’t buy houses until after they get the job.

“You specifically bought this house for a reason,” Pauley said as they walked outside.

“I did,” Clinton said.

“And this was to be?” Pauley asked.

“Well, I know a lot about what it takes to move a president, and I thought I was going to win,” Clinton said.

“The Clintons had acquired the house next door to accommodate White House staff and security during a second Clinton administration,” Pauley narrated.

Pauley asked Clinton if that decision haunted her.

“No, I’m very happy we did it,” Clinton said.

What else is she going to say, Jane?

Yes, it was a huge mistake. Everything I touch turns to rust.

I am an utter and complete failure.

No. She is going to spin it.

Well, Jane. I was actually thinking of making this second home a home-away-from-home. You know, when Bill decides to engage in his extra-marital affairs.

Or…well, Jane, we just have so much money from the Clinton Foundation that we simply don’t know where to put it. So, we spend exorbitant amounts of money on things we don’t need.

My question is…when oh when are you going to stop talking about losing, Hillary?

We are coming up on a year. A year since your epic, historic failure.

Do you need to talk to someone? Do you have a friend? A cat? A therapist?

I’m just really tired of hearing you talk about it.

Am I the only one?

Yes, you took long walks in the woods, you believed this was your time, you thought this was a sign of women’s progress, you bought a house, you talked to your daughter…

Blah, blah, blah.

I’m not currently having trouble sleeping, but if I do, I’ll just open your novel of all the sorry feelings.

Is anyone with me?
