James Comey Just Made a Complete Fool of Himself on Social Media

Fired former FBI Director James Comey continues to work diligently to keep his name in the news despite his presiding over the bureau during a time when it became politicized to the extreme.

President Trump soon found himself tiring of the enigmatic Comey and his need for media attention and fired him in May amidst mounting proof that he was playing games to take down the new POTUS.

Comey may have been fired but he has never gone away and recently, he even got his very own Twitter account and a blue check verified one as well.

In addition to his dispensing philosophical quotes and meddling in the Mueller witch hunt as well as ongoing investigations into the FBI’s double-standard between Trump and Hillary Clinton, Comey just tweets out random crap for attention.

On New Year’s Eve, he unleashed another tweet, this time calling for “more ethical leadership” in 2018.

It was a jaw-dropper to many, especially since “ethical” and “leadership” are hardly two words that could be used to describe Comey who is as duplicitious a character as they come.

Former FBI Director James Comey said Sunday he hopes 2018 brings more “ethical leadership.”

“Here’s hoping 2018 brings more ethical leadership, focused on the truth and lasting values,” Comey wrote in a tweet that many will interpret as a nod to President Trump, who fired Comey earlier this year.

“Happy New Year, everybody.”

In June, when Comey testified before the Senate Intelligence Committee, he said Trump had asked for his loyalty during a January dinner at the White House.

Trump has disputed that claim.

Earlier this month, a report said FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe testified said when he testified before the House Intelligence Committee that Comey told him about the conversations he had with Trump, including Trump’s request for loyalty.

Comey also testified earlier this year that Trump pressured him during an Oval Office meeting in February to end the investigation into former national security adviser Michael Flynn. Trump has also disputed that claim.

Comey over the past few months has tweeted out quotes which appear to relate to certain news stories of the day.

It didn’t take long before the Twitter swarm began with many pointing out the hilarious and contradictory nature of his New Year’s wishes:

There weren’t many sympathetic replies to Comey, it is probably pretty safe to say that the man made a complete fool out of himself.

2018 is going to be an interesting year for Mr. Comey. Not only is the fruit of his $2.5 million book deal “A Higher Loyalty” set to come out setting the stage for a Hillary-style publicity tour during which Comey will have rose petals scattered at his feet by the media, set to drop but the jig may be up at the FBI.

Republicans including Senator Chuck Grassley and Representative Devin Nunes beginning to close in on exactly who was behind the Fusion GPS dirty dossier that all but certainly served as the basis for a FISA warrant to spy on the Trump campaign. Comey who is as slippery as the proverbial greased hamster at Bohemian Grove is highly likely to be implicated in the dossier, especially if it can be nailed down who wanted to pay scummy Brit spook Christopher Steel who compiled the bogus info.

It was Never Trumper John McCain who personally presented it to him and there has been something very rotten at Quantico, especially under the reign of Comey and his BFF predecessor Robert Mueller who could soon find themselves under if a second special counsel gets appointed to investigate the investigators.

A guy like Comey should keep a low profile but he just can’t help himself.
