Illinois’ Dick Durbin is the worst kind of pandering, slandering politician.
The US Senator will make a comment, then turn around and accuse someone else of being a racist for making the same comment.
He lies with impunity and compares his political opponents to Nazis.
After the now widely publicized meeting where President Donald Trump allegedly called Haiti and African nations “shithole countries,” he also said that Trump used the term “chain migration.”
“That was the nature of this conversation. When it came to the issue of, quote, ‘chain migration,’ I said to the president, do you realize how painful that term is to so many people? African-Americans believe they migrated to America in chains and when you talk about chain migration, it hurts them personally.”

Seriously, Sen. Durbin? “Chain migration” is a painful term? Because African slaves were brought here in “chains?”
Surely, you would never use such a “hate-filled” and “painful” term, right, Sen. Durbin?
On the floor of the Senate, when debating the Dream Act, Durbin himself used the term:
“The DREAM Act would not allow what is known as chain migration,” Durbin said. “In fact, DREAM Act students would have very limited ability to sponsor their family members for legal status.”
This is the same Dick Durbin who in 2005 referred to American Troops as “Nazis” on the floor of the Senate as well. Cut to Take 2:
Oh, and let’s not forget what a liar Dick Durbin is.
He even got a smackdown from the liberal Washington Post for his idiotic claim that within its first month, Obamacare enrolled “ten million” new Americans. On CBS, he told Bob Schieffer: “Bob, let’s look at the bottom line. The bottom line is this. Ten million Americans have health insurance today who would not have had it without the Affordable Care Act–10 million.”
That was a lie.
Then he told another whopper:
“And we can also say this. It is going to reduce the deficit more than we thought it would. We were seeing a decline in the growth of the cost of health care, exactly our goal in passing this original legislation.”
The Post pointed out that the number pushed by the White House – 6.3 million have gotten new insurance under Obamacare – is impossible to substantiate because there is no way to know if those that tried to sign up actually got an insurance policy and began paying premiums. The White House is making claims that it simply cannot prove and Durbin parroted these empty claims.
Durbin, the paper said, “has little excuse for going on national television and claiming that every one of these people had been previously uninsured. This has now become a Four Pinocchio violation.”
Sen. Dick Durbin is the worst kind of politician. A liar, a panderer and a hypocrite.
If President Donald Trump called certain … poor countries “shitholes” the criticism certainly can’t come from this man, who can’t keep his facts straight or his foot out of his mouth.
