Hilarious Meme Sums Up Irony of Cop-Hating Gun Grabbers

From Calvin Freiburger: “We’re protesting Donald Trump’s ‘divisiveness’ and nothing else! We love the flag, the troops, the police, and the military!” That’s been the desperate chorus from the National Football League trying to calm fans who are currently revolting against them for the latest trend of refusing to stand for the National Anthem at the beginning of football games.

Even some insipid center-Right Beltway pundits who know better have accepted that asinine spin, for no other purpose than to satisfy their petty #NeverTrump impulses. But try as they might, they can’t deny what most Americans know deep down — and the athlete who began this whole mess just doubled down in the most grotesque fashion yet.

The Daily Mail reveals that back in April, former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick donated a whopping $25,000 to the Chicago-based “charitable group” Assata’s Daughters — which is named after former Black Liberation Army member and convicted cop killer Assata Shakur.

Shakur was convicted of first-degree murder in the 1973 shooting death of New Jersey state trooper Werner Foerster and sentenced to life in prison, but staged a daring jailbreak and now lives as a fugitive in Cuba.

Kaepernick, who is well known for his protests against police during the national anthem as a former San Francisco 49ers quarterback, made the donation as part of his pledge to donate $100,000 a month for 10 months to ‘organizations working in oppressed communities’.

Assata’s Daughters was founded in 2015 to ‘develop and train young people, ages 4-19, in the Black queer feminist tradition and in the spirit of Assata,’ according to the group’s website.

‘We prioritize this work to help the current momentum of the Black Lives Matter movement to carry on into the future,’ the statement continues.

Kaepernick’s foundation specified that $2,500 of the donation would go to Cop Watch, a program that trains volunteers to follow and video police officers.

Shakur is currently a fugitive from justice on the FBI’s most wanted list, and is believed to currently be enjoying political asylum under the protection of the Communist Cuban regime — another pack of anti-American murderers Kaepernick embraces.

(Side note: back in July, TFPP reported that the respected leftist group called the “Women’s March” are also big fans of Shakur.)

This is the worst manifestation of Kapernick’s bigotry yet, but it shouldn’t surprise anyone who’s been following along. After all, this is the guy who justified his original stunt on the grounds that America is a racist hellholle in which black people are supposedly oppressed and executed on an institutional level, who doubled down by comparing modern-day police officers to slave catchers and wearing socks depicting cops as pigs on the field.

Consciously or not, this is the evil — and no, evil isn’t too strong a word — that every single kneeler and kneeling apologist is siding with. You can’t separate the act from the original purpose for committing the act. The whole purpose is to show solidarity with the cop-haters, even if you didn’t set out to join them. Even the the most charitable possible interpretation that can be given for a kneeler’s motives — “I only wanted to spite Trump because I disliked him intervening” — is also a de facto admission that Trump harshly condemning cop-haters bothers you more than cop-hating itself.
