Did Kamala Harris Make Her First Move Towards a 2020 Run For the White House?

Kamala Harris is a rising star in the Democratic Party.

Since her election last year, she has become one of the big names in the #Resistance movement against the President. In June, we reported that during Senate hearings for the Trump administration, she has thrust herself into the spotlight as a possible savior for the trampled Democratic Party.

Indeed, she led the charge questioning the Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats and the National Security Agency Director Admiral Mike Rogers this past Wednesday.

She appeared on the Today show the next morning, where she continued her rants against the President and emphasized her “credentials in asking tough questions” during the Senate hearings.

Whether she is planning to run or not, she is certainly using these hearings as a time to make a name for herself and tout her clout and credentials.

So she put herself into the spotlight of the voters, but now it appears that she is putting herself into the spotlight of Democrat Party donors. Her recent meetings with major Clinton donors and insiders in the Hamptons leads us to believe that something big may be coming for the junior Senator from California.

Page Six reports that Harris may be making a sales pitch to the DNC and the remnants of the Clinton machine:

The California senator is being fêted in Bridgehampton on Saturday at the home of MWWPR guru Michael Kempner, a staunch Clinton supporter who was one of her national-finance co-chairs and a led fund-raiser for her 2008 bid for the presidency. He was also listed as one of the top “bundlers” for Barack Obama’s 2012 re-election campaign, having raised $3 million.

Guests there to greet Harris are expected to include Margo Alexander, a member of Clinton’s inner circle; Dennis Mehiel, a Democratic donor who is the chairman of the Battery Park City Authority, even though he lives between a sprawling Westchester estate and an Upper East Side pad; designer Steven Gambrel and Democratic National Committee member Robert Zimmerman.

Indeed, if Harris wants to be the one to challenge Donald Trump in 2020, she will need all the backing she can get. For now though, she can’t let the idea that she is seeking the White House be revealed too early. The timing is not right for that.

Harris has denied having “national aspirations,” but this Hamptons trip proves it isn’t far from her mind.

A Democratic insider said, “Kamala is the big Democratic star right now, at a time when they badly need a star. She’s coming to the Hamptons to meet key people as she takes a national stage, and expands her influence and ambitions.”

If Harris is planning on becoming the DNC’s nominee for 2020, and if the Party and voters oblige, then it will prove once again that they have learned absolutely nothing from the 2016 campaign.

So many states went to Donald Trump instead of Hillary Clinton because voters in those states, some blue states, felt that their entire way of life was under attack from the political Left. Hillary Clinton represented left-wing cosmopolitanism, with nothing by contempt for small-town America.

That’s not what America is though, but the Democrats don’t seem to understand this. With their misunderstanding being their foundation, the Democrats are prepping for 2020. While they lost in 2016, we must prepare for their upcoming strikes against us. It may make The Empire Strikes Back look like a comedy.
