It wouldn’t be left wing ‘la-la land’ if they didn’t go after anyone and everyone who disagrees with their ideology.
In an ironic and hypocritical opinion piece, Richard Cohen of The Washington Post, proves it’s not just Trump the left has sites on. As written at The Washington Post:
When history holds its trial to account for the Donald Trump presidency, Trump himself will be acquitted on grounds of madness. History will look at his behavior, his erratic and childish lying and his flamboyant ignorance of history itself and pronounce the man, like George III, a cuckoo for whom restraint, but not punishment, was necessary. Such will not be the case for Mike Pence, the toady vice president and the personification of much that has gone wrong in Washington.
Let’s just take this first paragraph and pick it apart because it’s interesting that Cohen supported Obama, who was a serial liar, but doesn’t support Trump, who he maintains is a ‘childish liar.’ Was it restraint on Obama’s part to ‘stupidly’ comment on police shootings that stoked violent riots before he even knew the facts of the cases? Should we mention Fast and Furious or just ignore that? The list goes on and on but you get the point.
Cohen goes on:
On any given day, Pence will do his customary spot-on imitation of a bobblehead. Standing near Trump in the Oval Office, he will nod his head robotically as the president says one asinine thing after another and then, maybe along with others, he will be honored with a lie or a version of the truth so mangled by contradictions and fabrications that a day in the White House is like a week on LSD.
If Cohen thinks Pence is a bobblehead, what did he think Biden was – a Muppet? For a big part of Obama’s Presidency, they kept Biden hidden in the basement for fear he may say something erratic or accidentally tell the truth about legislation being passed.
Speaking of things that aren’t true:
I pick on Pence because he is the most prominent and highest-ranked of President Trump’s lackeys. Like with all of them, Pence’s touching naivete and trust are routinely abused. He vouches for things that are not true…
You could actually switch names in Cohen’s opinion piece from Pence to Biden and the exact same things he’s saying about Pence would ring true with Biden. Cohen probably doesn’t get that.
Here is the final clincher from Cohen. The guy clearly still doesn’t understand why Trump was elected but he explains it in this final statement:
America is already worse off for Trump’s presidency. He was elected to make America great again, but his future is more like other nations’ sordid past. His own party has been sullenly complicit, showing how little esteem many politicians place in our most cherished values, not the least of them honesty and dignity. For all of them, an accounting is coming. When they are asked by history what they did during the Trump years, the worst of them will confess that they bobbled their heads like dumb dolls, while the best will merely say they kept their heads down.
Switch Trump with Obama and he explains exactly why Trump was elected:

That final statement sums up EXACTLY why Trump was elected as the 45th President of the United States if you switch the proper Presidential name to Obama.
