Once again NYPD officers turned their backs as New York City Mayor Bill De Blasio spoke at the funeral for slain officer Wenjian Liu.
Via The Blaze:
They shunned him at the first funeral. They saluted him at Saturday’s wake. On Sunday, the shunning resumed.
Thousands of city police officers turned their backs Sunday as they watched Mayor Bill de Blasio eulogize an officer shot dead with his partner, repeating a stinging display of scorn for the mayor despite entreaties from the police commissioner not to do so.
The show of disrespect came outside the funeral home where Officer Wenjian Liu was remembered as an incarnation of the American dream: a man who had emigrated from China at age 12 and devoted himself to helping others in his adopted country. The gesture among officers watching the mayor’s speech on a screen added to tensions between the mayor and rank-and-file police even as he sought to quiet them.

The NY Post has more:
As de Blasio addressed the loved ones of Detective Wenjian Liu in the Aievoli Funeral Home in Bensonhurst, the sea of blue watching the funeral on huge TV screens outside showed their disgust for Hizzoner by turning around as he spoke.
Cops have been furious with de Blasio mainly since the grand-jury rulings involving the deaths of Staten Island dad Eric Garner and Missouri teen Michael Brown, two unarmed black men who died during confrontations with white cops. Neither cop was criminally charged.
The mayor said afterward that he worries about how his son, Dante, who is half-black, might be treated by police because of his race.
The cops say de Blasio’s comment is just another instance in which he has added to the anti-cop sentiment in the city.
