President Obama just delivered the weakest, most pathetic display at a press conference that never should have happened. Give me a break, Mr. President.
I am the first to admit that I have a sensitive heart that gets hurt easily, but dammit, Janet, get your act together, Mr. President. You are the President of the United States.
After raking everything from the NRA to the Constitution over hot coals, Obama did the predictable.
Not that I want to give the man a shred more attention than he deserves, but I have to say that given his desperation, it comes as absolutely NO surprise.
Sorry, bucko, this Mom and Auntie has seen enough crocodile tears in her day – and I am calling BULLSHIT on it.
Obama’s big ploy here is being the kid at the playground that no one wants to hang out with having a pity party. So he’s gonna cry. This lets us know that Obama is real. This helps him to relate to the American folks. This is why we should suddenly feel sorry for him, though he didn’t use his original House majority and Senate veto-proof majority, to push gun control. Now we know he cares, in spite of the fact that murder rates are up in virtually every major American city. We know he cares because he has tears.
These are the tears of a clown.
We have a childish president. He cries because he does not get his way; he cries because he thinks he can convince us to support him through his tears; he cries because he knows that the media will provide him an oral colon cleanse so long as he shows he truly wants something.
Maybe Obama’s tears aren’t crocodile tears. Perhaps they’re far more dangerous. They’re the tears of a man with nothing left to lose, and a year left to squeeze every last drop out of his waning power.
That is truly terrifying.
