The DNC Just Got Hit With a Huge New Scandal

This hilarity and hypocrisy is just priceless!

Democrats are always pushing to raise the minimum wage. Union goons and Democrat operatives get people all stoked up with rallies across the country to push for $15/hour as the minimum wage for unskilled jobs.

Of course, that means they actually support that with their own workers, right? Not so fast.

Lawsuit. Field workers who worked for the Democrat National Committee in 2016 are suing the DNC and some local political committees because they claim they weren’t paid minimum wage and they weren’t paid overtime. From the Washington Free Beacon:

Justin Swidler, the attorney representing the field workers, argued the Democratic Party failed to pay workers a minimum wage and denied them overtime compensation. Swidler “says the lawsuit seeks ‘fair pay for fair work,’ and holding the Democratic Party to the very ideals that it embraces,” according to CBS Philly.

The 2016 Democratic platform pushed for a $15-per-hour minimum wage, a nearly $8 increase from the current minimum, and promised to defend an Obama-era regulation forcing employers to pay a higher rate to employees for working more than 40 hours.

Party Platform. All one has to do is check out the Democrat Party Platform:

Democrats believe that the current minimum wage is a starvation wage and must be increased to a living wage. No one who works full time should have to raise a family in poverty. We believe that Americans should earn at least $15 an hour…

We will defend President Obama’s overtime rule, which protects of millions of workers by paying them fairly for their hard work.

As usual, it seems Democrats don’t want to follow what it is they want government to mandate against small private businesses. One would think they would practice what they preach, right? Don’t be silly, they’re Democrats.

Why this matters? It once again points out the disgusting hypocrisy of the Democrat Party. They are constantly saying one thing and doing another. How on Earth can anyone take them seriously if they refuse to implement exactly what they demand others be mandated to implement through the force of their beloved big government?

If their ideas are so great, one would think they would mandate them within their own party ranks just to prove they actually believe in what they are saying.
