This Viral Liberal Post on SCOTUS Appointment DESTROYED by FACTS

This one is priceless. Democrats are already whining that Republicans shouldn’t filibuster any potential SCOTUS nominee that Obama would bring forth during his lame duck last year as President.

Funny thing, Democrats did that EXACT same thing with almost 2 years of Bush’s Presidency left to go.

Facts and history matter.

This video is from far left wing hack chuck Schumer. Just watch and see what HE said about any Bush SCOTUS nominees:

Then there is Obama himself who decided to filibuster SCOTUS nominee Justice Alito. From ABC News:

In January 2006, then-Sen. Obama joined 24 colleagues in a futile effort led by Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., to filibuster the Supreme Court nomination of now-Justice Samuel Alito.

On January 29, 2006, Mr. Obama told George Stephanopulos on “This Week” that he would “be supporting the filibuster because I think Judge Alito, in fact, is somebody who is contrary to core American values, not just liberal values, you know. When you look at his decisions in particular during times of war, we need a court that is independent and is going to provide some check on the executive branch, and he has not shown himself willing to do that repeatedly.”

He added that “there is an over-reliance on the part of Democrats for procedural maneuvers and mechanisms to block the president instead of proactively going out to the American people and talking about the values that we care about. And, you know, there’s one way to guarantee that the judges who are appointed to the Supreme Court are judges that reflect our values and that’s to win elections.”

And there you have it. Indeed Mr. Obama it’s about winning elections and the Republicans have won the Senate, if you recall. Not to mention there is also precedent going back decades where SCOTUS nominees were not appointed during lame duck sessions.

From The Federalist:

Historically, many Supreme Court nominations made in a President’s final year in office are rejected by the Senate. That started with John Quincy Adams and last occurred to Lyndon B. Johnson.

It is critically important that the Senate hold pro forma sessions, since President Barack Obama would be able to make a recess appointment to the Supreme Court if the Senate goes out of session. Currently, there is a five-day recess this week and a two-week recess scheduled for April. There have been twelve such recess appointments to the high court. A recess appointment would last until the end of the Senate’s next session.

Historically, most presidents select a nominee within a week of a Supreme Court vacancy. However, there have been several lengthy vacancies when the Senate refused to play ball with controversial presidents or controversial nominees.

So while Obama and Democrats feign outrage that Republicans won’t ‘play ball’ with another anti-Constitutional, left wing radical SCOTUS, they can take a hard look at their own actions in the past and then promptly shut their mouths.

Of course they won’t but this is where Republicans have to get their messaging out loud and clear. Not only did Obama filibuster a SCOTUS nominee but Democrats pushed to filibuster ANY of Bush’s nominees and not during his lame duck final year but much earlier.

Democrats like to play political games but they absolutely despise when those games are turned back onto them.

What this country needs isn’t another left wing activist SCOTUS. What this country needs are SCOTUS Justices who actually believe in the Constitution. Obama’s sudden care for the Constitution after 8 years of ignoring it or actually violating don’t pass the sniff test.

There is no way in hell Obama should have the opportunity to appoint another justice to the SCOTUS. The freedom of this country is depending upon Republicans to stop that from happening.
