As if the Omarosa firing was not dramatic enough, we found an incredibly bizarre Omarosa film from 2006. You’re welcome.
Omarosa Manigault Newman, former “Apprentice” star and fired White House staff member “had to be dragged kicking and screaming from the White House on Tuesday night after she refused to believe Donald Trump had fired her”, according to the New York Post.
The White House reported that Omarosa resigned to “pursue other opportunities” yet “numerous reports from inside the ever-leaky 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. had the now-ex-director of communications for the Public Liaison Office going out in a hail of profanity as chief of staff John Kelly told her to pack her things.”
It was even reported that she attempted to enter the President’s residence to question the decision.
So, there are questions as to whether she really resigned or if she was fired…As Saturday Night Live covered this weekend.
But, the plot thickens.
According to Fox News, a 2006 Omarosa film has emerged from obscurity:
As Omarosa Manigault Newman exits her job at the White House, a bizarre video showing her less, er, stateswomanly side has emerged.
A pop-culture polymath sent Page Six a link to “Soul Sistahs,” an ultra-camp, hyper-kitsch, uber-low-budget 10-minute sci-fi short film.
While the plot is virtually incomprehensible, as far as we can tell it focuses on an intergalactic yenta in a housecoat who kidnaps Omarosa in an attempt to steal Donald Trump’s hair as part of a difficult-to-understand get-rich-quick scheme.
The mini-flick was made back in 2006 — two years after Omarosa shot to fame on Trump’s NBC show “The Apprentice.”
In this vaguely “Barbarella”-inspired work, the aging villain drugs Omarosa by feeding her spiked cake, whereupon the red PVC-clad former director of communications for the Office of Public Liaison goes off on a motorcycle to steal the future president’s hair in a showdown on top of a CGI-created Trump Tower.
Sound bizarre? Yeah, that’s because it is.
Page Six reported that the video has been seen a “mere 6,000 times” and their source, former In Touch Weekly photo director Michael Todd said, “It’s a cult classic. I’m the cult”.
Another responded, “‘I can’t believe she agreed to do it but glad she did!’ while viewers added, ‘Porn has better lines’ and ‘This woman is nuts!'”
The hiring, the firing…even the video should not surprise us. Whether you are for MAGA, Trumpian politics or wish for the days of Barack Obama, you must admit that this circus of flying monkeys that is the White House is pretty darn unbelievable.
How many reality stars can you fit in 1600 Pennsylvania? It is the beginning of a bad joke.
If Trump wants his presidency to be taken seriously, he needs his tables to be filled with politicians, advisors and diplomats…not relatives and reality television stars (especially those who do horrendous movies like this one).
But, then again, if you are going to drain the swamp, you need a new source of “talent”? [Is that what you call it?]
What are your thoughts on Omarosa and her firing?
