Robert Gehl writes that of all the screaming hypocrisy from Democrats in their reaction to the firing of FBI Director James Comey, few are worse than that of New York Sen. Chuck Schumer.
Schumer said that Trump’s Tuesday firing of Comey was a “big mistake.”
“Earlier this afternoon President Trump called me and informed me he was firing Director Comey,” Schumer told reporters on Tuesday, The Hill reports. “I told the president, ‘Mr. President, with all due respect, you are making a big mistake.’”
He added that Trump didn’t “really respond” to his comment.
Well, Trump has responded now. After the firing, Trump tweeted “Cryin’ Chuck Schumer stated recently, ‘I do not have confidence in him (James Comey) any longer.’ Then acts so indignant.”

“Why now?” Schumer asked – implying that Trump fired Comey because of the Russia investigation. “Were these investigations getting too close to home for the president?”
But as early as late last year, Cryin’ Chuck called for Comey’s termination himself.
“I do not have confidence in him any longer,” he said in an interview with Bloomberg, calling his decision to speak publicly about the FBI investigation into Hillary Clinton’s handling of classified material “appalling.”
Schumer got the awesome nickname “Cryin’ Chuck” after his little act in January, when he pretend to cry in response to Trump’s executive order blocking immigration from seven terror-prone countries.
With Muslim families as human props, Schumer weepily called for an open-door policy, speaking about the Statue of Liberty’s message. Take a look:
