VILE: How Liberal Media Distracts From What's Really Going On

Robert Gehl writes that the networks love to have these “focus groups.” So-called “undecided voters” who sit in the studio and listen to the debate and then get to give their reaction to what the candidates say.

It’s supposed to be their unvarnished reaction to the debate, without the echo chamber of the media pounding away at one candidate or the other (almost always Donald Trump in these cases).

Supposedly, it’s a “snapshot” of what people are thinking.

Here’s how it works: The station plays a clip of one of the candidates speaking – saying a phrase – and a host asks the audience what their takeaway from the comments were.

Except we’ve caught CNN playing a little game with the audience.

During one moment, Hillary Clinton said “America is already great, but we are great because we are good.”

It’s a complete throw-away line – something any politician might utter because they simply have nothing better to say.

So when the camera turned to the room of “undecided voters,” the mic captured the CNN moderator whispering an “appropriate” answer to the audience before they ask the question. One woman in particular looked at the moderator and nodded approvingly. She got it. She knew what to say.

Listen:

She looks at the crowd and whispers “America is great… because we are good.” Then asks the “focus group”: “So I want to ask you, what was it about Hillary Clinton’s argument that resonated with you following Donald Trump’s defense of the video.” And – by golly – guess what their answer was:

“She stated that America was already great and I tended to agree with that,” said the previously nodding woman in the front row.

Interesting, huh?

It’s not much of a “focus group” when you’re telling them exactly what the proper response to the question is, right?

It’s an editing slip that didn’t get cut out and shows how they manage to guide their propaganda to get the answer they’re looking for.

Disgusting.
