We Just Learned Shocking Details About Man Who Stole Trump Tower Plans

The man who stole Trump tower floor plans from a Secret Service agent last week was reportedly caught in a grainy video arriving at the scene in an Uber to commit the theft, according to TMZ, who learned the information from law enforcement sources.

TMZ reported:

Our sources say the thief — whom they say is a man — was caught on surveillance video pulling up to the agent’s driveway in an Uber at around 3 AM Thursday.

The video shows the man make a beeline for the agent’s car, removing a backpack with the computer inside and then walking off. As we reported, the hard drive contained Trump Tower floor plans and evacuation protocols, but the agency insists there was no classified info inside.

The thief also made off with a passport and several Secret Service lapel pins.

It’s unclear what the thief was looking for if all the content was non-sensitive.

We’re told the video is grainy so it’s hard to make out the thief’s features, but it’s definitely a lead.

There have been numerous dangerous mistakes made by the Secret Service lately and this is a huge one.

Former Secret Service agent Dan Bongino discussed the dire situation Friday on Fox News.

“The Secret Service cannot even keep one person off the grounds — what will they do if 40 terrorists charge the White House?” Bongino asked. “And believe me, the terrorists are already thinking about that.”

As LifeZette pointed out, these major lapses aren’t a new problem, as there were serious blunders in the Secret Service under the Obama administration as well.

Bongino said that “the president is not safe in the White House,” and added that the White House security plan “is crap.”

“The management is terrible at Secret Service. The men and women are great — the rank-and-file men and women, believe me when I tell you, know exactly what needs to be done. But they’re being stopped by a sclerotic bunch of dinosaur managers who just can’t get out of the way,” Bongino said. “They literally cannot get out of their own way. I mean, they’re screwing this whole thing up.”

“If the Secret Service doesn’t clean house at the management level after this, I don’t know — I mean, what are you waiting to happen?” he asked. “I mean, I’m really hoping and praying right now that everything I just told you about the security plan at the White House that’s just not sufficient — I’m hoping all of this is laughed at in years because they go and they fix the security plan.”
