The attacks on Brett Kavanaugh from the left keep coming.
First, we heard that President Donald Trump’s Supreme Court nominee was evil because he charged season tickets to the Washington Nationals on his credit card and – gasp! – paid them off.
The histrionics continued when Hillary Clinton suggested that having Kavanaugh on the court would bring us back to the days of slavery.

Now, we’re hearing from Democrats that his confirmation would single-handedly put 130 million people at risk of losing their health insurance.
This is from the chief antagonizer, Sen. Chuck Schumer, who said that the only way Democrats can sink his nomination is to lie to people and tell them that his appointment will lead to a court majority that “repeals [the Affordable Care Act] with its protections for pre-existing conditions.”

That kind of rhetoric is wrong, distasteful and disgusting. And it’s working. The New York Post reports:

A TV ad targeting Sens. Susan Collins (R-Maine) and Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) claims the GOP has “a plan to install a Supreme Court Justice who will overturn” protections for people with serious health problems and “take us back to a time when insurance companies could deny you coverage.”
It warns viewers that “130 million Americans” could be dropped.
The truth is that before Obamacare, The Post reports, less than a half-million people were turned down for having pre-existing conditions. It’s a problem, but not a “130 million Americans” problem.
Five percent of the population use 50 percent of health care. Healthy buyers pay sky-high premiums with huge deductibles, and seldom get anything covered when they see a doctor. All their premiums are going to cover the 5 percent.

During the first six years of ObamaCare, premiums tripled. Actuarial experts point to its misguided insurance-pricing scheme. No wonder red and blue states alike are looking for a better way.
