Convicted Killer Danelo 'Spiderman' Cavalcante Arrested 2 Weeks After Dramatic Prison Break

Danelo Cavalcante, who slipped out of Chester County Prison in Pennsylvania, has finally been caught after nearly two weeks on the run, state police confirmed Wednesday.

Many locals in South Coventry Township saw loads of police officers heavily armed and on high alert late Tuesday into Wednesday.

The exact spot where they nabbed Cavalcante hasn’t been made public.

Fox News got word from a police insider that Cavalcante was found close to a house.

Just the night before, he had sneaked into an open garage and snatched a .22-caliber rifle equipped with a scope and flashlight.

When the homeowner realized what was happening, he bravely fired his pistol at Cavalcante, but the fugitive got away.

The Pennsylvania State Police had been straight with folks, urging them to stay indoors, lock up tight, and double-check their cars were locked.

They made it clear: Cavalcante was not only armed but very dangerous.

Hunting for Cavalcante wasn’t a small task.

Over 500 officers from local, state, and federal levels searched high and low for him. A lot of their time was spent in the thick woods.

With this guy on the loose, several schools shut their doors for a few days, and you could feel the tension in the community.

Here’s some background on Cavalcante: He was in the Chester County lock-up since last August, waiting to be moved to a state prison.

His crime?

A horrifying attack on his ex-girlfriend in 2021, stabbing her 38 times.

He also allegedly killed a man in Brazil in 2017 over some unpaid car repair bill. And to add to his list of wrongs, it seems he was in the U.S. without proper papers.

To show folks how Cavalcante managed his escape, officials released a video last week.

Cavalcante can be seen shuffling up a wall in a crab-like manner, then pushing through sharp razor wire, dashing across the prison roof, climbing another fence, and going through yet more razor wire before he was out.

Makes you wonder how he pulled it off and whether the prison needs to beef up its security.
