The anchors of “Fox & Friends” tore into “Miss Congresswoman” New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on Sunday.
The hosts challenged her to put her own cash where her mouth is by redistributing her ample salary.
The 29-year-old Congresswoman bragged that she was raising the salary of her lower staffers in order to ensure that no one makes less than $52,000 annually.

And she did it in a way that made it sound like she was using her own cash to do it.

“Leadership starts with our choices,” the socialist wrote with a link to news story on the topic.

“It’s likely one of the highest entry-level salaries on the Hill. We pinch pennies elsewhere, but it’s worth every dime to pay a living wage,” she said.

“A lot of people commenting don’t know how Congressional salaries work.
“Each member is given a set amount that they disburse. GOP has refused to increase budgets in years to give hard-working staff a raise, which means people helping to run the country are getting paid $30k/year,” she said.
It’s pretty sad that people think low Congressional staff pay is a good thing.
Low pay a big reason why money in politics is a problem – you can make a lot more money becoming a lobbyist & setting up a relationship w/ one, since the actual job doesn’t pay enough.
Domino effect.

But as “Fox & Friends” reported, what she is actually doing is employing a version of socialism and communism with her own staff.
As the person at the top Ocasio-Cortez will keep the same salary she is entitled to but her higher level staffers will have to pay for the lower staff workers.
“She wants $52,000 for the entry level staff salary for anyone in her office,” host Griff Jenkins said.
“Here’s the problem. You have got to find a way to get money to pay the entry-level people so she plans to take that from the chief of staff. Senior staffers who would normally make $154,000 for chief of staff are probably only going to make about $80,000,” he said.

“Every Capitol Hill office has a limited amount of money to pay their staff. Tough decide how to allocate it earn in my office pay a living wage,” host Pete Hegseth said.
“I want to pay $15 an hour. Entry level intern is making 52 grand. Your chief of staff who has a very important role in a congressional office now is capped at 80 as opposed to the actual markets rate on Capitol Hill which is closer to 150,000. Everyone is between 52 and 80. Actually socialism and communism on display,” he said.
“She makes $174,000 as a congresswoman. She should probably redistribute some of that will you share some of that money, Miss Congresswoman, with the rest of your staff who is not making as much as you?” he said.
