The NFL kneeling controversy has ignited quite a storm, arousing strong passions on both sides of the political aisle.

One side sees the protests as disrespecting America while the other see it as a protest against unfair conditions and police brutality.

A player just claimed that those protesting our country by kneeling during the playing of our national anthem are just like 9/11 first responders.

So a spoiled, rotten brat football player protesting the national anthem is the same as those who risked their lives to save those hurt, injured or worse after the terrorist attacks on 9/11?

Give me a FREAKING BREAK!

The real problem here was clearly defined some years ago by a famous author, Robert Heinlein:

“There seems to have been an actual decline in rational thinking. The United States had become a place where entertainers and professional athletes were mistaken for people of importance.
