Watch: Kelly Clarkson's Heartwarming Surprise for Street Musician Prior to Music Festival

Before taking the stage at the iHeartRadio Music Festival, singer Kelly Clarkson took a moment to revel in the simple joys of engaging with American talent on the streets of Las Vegas.

Clarkson shared her encounter on social media this Saturday, showcasing a video where she surprises a street performer singing Tina Turner’s iconic hit, “What’s Love Got to Do with It?”

Clarkson couldn’t resist joining in, capturing an authentic moment that brought a smile to everyone’s face.

“I was on my way to soundcheck for @iHeartRadio tonight in Vegas and was tipping this incredible woman killing some Tina Turner and then she asked me to sing and had no clue who I was, and then it hit her, and it made my day!” the 41-year-old Grammy-winner penned in her post.

The unsuspecting woman’s initial impression of Clarkson escalated substantially once she recognized the famed artist. Offering Clarkson an emphatic hug, the woman exclaimed, “Are you f—king kidding me?”

Clarkson expressed her admiration for the street performer in the same post, saying, “She gives the best hugs and sings her tail off! See ya tonight Vegas.”

Beyond this viral moment, Clarkson was part of a star-studded lineup on the festival’s second day, which also featured reputable artists like Sheryl Crow, Tim McGraw, Lenny Kravitz, and The Foo Fighters.

The artist, best known for her chart-topping hit “Since U Been Gone,” recently concluded a brief residency at Planet Hollywood. This featured selections from her album “Chemistry,” a collection of songs that delve into the emotionally charged subject of her divorce from ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock.

The couple’s divorce, filed in 2020, was finalized this year. Clarkson received primary physical custody of their children, River and Remington, while her ex-husband received $45,000 a month in child support.

Among the songs from “Chemistry,” Clarkson performed “Mine” during the iHeartRadio Festival, a track featuring poignant lyrics that directly address her former spouse: “Someone’s gonna show you how a heart can be used, like you did mine.”
