Oliver Anthony, like Jason Aldean before him is hated by the left for simply saying what so many of us are thinking.
His new song has taken the music world by storm and is currently enjoying massive success.

Oliver Anthony Struck Gold with ‘Rich Men North of Richmond’ – Bringing in $40K Per Day

It’s a testament to Anthony’s authentic roots and commitment to his craft that his song, recorded amid the raw beauty of America’s wilderness, has secured the #1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100.
Uploaded on August 8, the song’s video has garnered over 33 million views on YouTube. Far from just a fleeting tune, the video reveals Anthony’s genuine intention to “give hope to the working class and your average hard working young man who may have lost hope in the grind of trying to get by.”
However, success in the music industry often brings both accolades and scrutiny. Mikael Wood of the Los Angeles Times commented that Anthony has indeed become a “rich man south of Richmond.”
Following the song’s significant success on “iTunes chart” and “Spotify’s U.S. Top 50,” trade journal Hits reported that Anthony is seeing an estimated daily revenue of $40,000 from the streams and sales of his music.

Yet, Wood made some contentious and frankly elitist statements, drawing a parallel between Anthony’s hit and Jason Aldean’s “Try That in a Small Town.”
“Where Aldean paints a hysterical portrait of urban chaos, Anthony muddies his critique of government malfeasance by complaining about obese people ‘milking welfare’ to buy ‘bags of Fudge Rounds,’ as though food stamps are the reason he’s been working ‘overtime hours for bulls— pay,’” Wood said.

But Anthony, grounded in his values, seems unshaken by the enormity of his newfound fame. Just last week, he humbly noted having “brushed off” offers from the music industry that reportedly reached as high as $8 million.
