Cartoon Reveals Why Obama Should Apologize To Trump

Matt Palumbo writes that if liberals want to claim that Donald Trump plays loose with the facts, fine. But pay attention to your own side too.

Barack Obama gave a speech last night at the Democrat National Convention that had liberals gushing, but had he not stretched the truth, they probably would’ve thought otherwise.

Let’s just look at nine lies in his speech, courtesy of some fantastic research from Aaron Bandler the Daily Wire.

Obama said that after the worst recession in eighty years, we bounced back. He claims deficits came down, unemployment has reached new lows, and businesses created 15 million new jobs

Reagan actually inherited a worse economy than Obama – and his recovered faster! As for his claim that deficits came down – yes, they came down after he exploded them to $1 trillion his first year in office. Is it really worth bragging about “cutting the deficit in half” after tripling it? The deficit would’ve been much larger under Obama’s administration if he didn’t have to face a Republican controlled Congress too.

Additionally, part of the recovery in unemployment is due to people leaving the labor force. If we look at the U-6 unemployment rate (which includes discouraged workers), we see an unemployment rate closer to 10%.

Obama says that we “brought more of our troops home to their families” – neglecting the fact that 75% of our soldier deaths in Afghanistan have been under his administration.
Obama says we “shut down Iran’s nuclear weapons program” and “opened up a new chapter with the people of Cuba.” The first statement neglects the cruel reality of the Iran deal.
Obama says that “our troops have pounded ISIL without mercy, taking out leaders, taking back territory.” He forgot to mention that he blocks 75% of airstrikes against ISIS, and that terror attacks have occurred more frequently under his administration.
Obama claimed that Hillary Clinton is “respected around the world not just by leaders, but by the people they serve.” Well, they respect her enough to give the Clinton Foundation large sums of money, true, but as Bandler noted, “Clinton’s foreign policy record is horrendous, with her worst highlight being the ousting of Libyan dictator Moammar Gaddafi. The result was turning Libya into a cesspool of Islamic terrorism and four brave Americans being murdered at the hands of Islamists at Benghazi, as Clinton lied to the American people that a video was responsible for the attack.”
Obama said that “illegal immigration and the crime rate are as low as they’ve been in decades,” as we’re on track to break a record for the most illegals entering the country this year, and homicides were up 9% in the largest 63 cities in the first quarter of 2016.
Obama said that “Clinton knows that democracy doesn’t work if we constantly demonize each-other,” apparently unaware that Clinton demonizes republicans as “enemies,” and also demonized the alleged rape victims of her husband.

Obama says that Clinton “knows that acknowledges problems that have festered for decades isn’t making race relations worse,” while race relations have fallen to the lowest point since the L.A. race riots under his administration.
And lastly, Obama says that our country is stronger and more prosperous than when he took office, while 73% say our country is headed in the wrong direction.

Think the media fact checkers will take notice? Of course not – his name isn’t Donald J. Trump.
