Robert Gehl reports that Barack Obama gave what is essentially a full-throated endorsement of Colin Kaepernick and his embarrassing “protest” of a racist America by sitting out the National Anthem.
Speaking at the G20 economic summit in Beijing, he said that Kaepernick’s “social justice” stance was just fine. In fact, he said, it’s just the latest in a “long history of sports figures doing so.”

Kaepernick is being “sincere” and that all the criticism of him is drowning out his important message.

“As a general matter, when it comes to the flag, and the National Anthem and the meaning that that holds for our men and women in uniform and those that fought for us – that is a tough thing for them to get past, to then hear what his deeper concerns are,” Obama said, Fox News is reporting.

Obama is telling us that the police and military whom he is disrespecting with his idiotic antics merely need to listen to what he has to say. Cops and soldiers bear the responsibility for understanding the subtle nuance of Kaepernick’s point. It’s their fault if they don’t get it.
“But I don’t doubt his sincerity. I think he cares about some real, legitimate issues that need to be talked about and, if nothing else, what he’s done is generated more conversation about some topics that need to be talked about.”
He called the San Francisco 49ers QB’s protest “messy” but said “that’s the way democracy works.”
“I’d rather have young people who are engaged in the argument and trying to think through how they can be part of our democratic process than people who are just sitting on the sidelines not paying attention at all.”
Because of his mediocre performance, Kaepernick will not start as the quarterback for the team this season. You’ll remember that in addition to sitting down during the national anthem, he also decided it would be a great idea to wear socks portraying police officers as pigs. Perhaps Barack Obama doesn’t see any problem with that as well.

He claims that he will stand for the anthem when “the flag represents what it’s supposed to represent.”

“I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color. To me, this is bigger than football and it would be selfish on my part to look the other way. There are bodies in the street and people getting paid leave and getting away with murder,” he said.
Colin Kaepernick is a bi-racial football player who was raised by white parents. He makes tens of millions of dollars every year to toss a football around.
