In a recent revelation by an FBI supervisory special agent, the Biden transition team and Secret Service headquarters were notified in December 2020 about the impending interview of Hunter Biden, resulting in the interview not happening.
The testimony, which occurred behind closed doors at the House Oversight Committee, was given by an agent who served the FBI for over twenty years and retired last year.

Fox News Digital acquired the transcript of this pivotal interview, providing a deeper insight into the allegations that decisions in the Hunter Biden investigation were politically influenced.
IRS whistleblower Gary Shapley’s claims of the Biden team’s prior knowledge were corroborated by the FBI agent.
As allegations of political influence surround the investigation, Attorney General Merrick Garland took steps last week to mitigate these claims.
Despite appointing David Weiss, the U.S. attorney already leading the investigation, as the special counsel, this decision has raised eyebrows among Republicans.
Critics argue about the possibility of Weiss leading the probe with a fresh perception of independence after being at the helm for over four years.

James Comer, House Oversight Committee Chairman, voiced concerns to Fox News Digital about the Justice Department’s actions, particularly under Weiss’s supervision.
Comer emphasized a lack of confidence in Weiss due to his inability to prevent interference from the Biden transition team, and his alleged attempt to offer Hunter Biden a generous plea deal.
The testimony of the FBI agent brought to light various anomalies in the investigative approach to Hunter Biden’s case, which starkly contrasted the usual practices he had observed during his long tenure at the FBI.

According to the transcript, a strategic plan was in place to notify the local field office of the Secret Service on the morning of December 8, 2020, to limit the chances of additional notifications.
However, on the evening of December 7, the agent was informed that FBI headquarters had already alerted Secret Service headquarters.
The agent was further taken aback when he learned that the Biden transition team, which includes advisors and appointees during the President-elect phase, was also informed.
On the scheduled day of the interview, the agent and his team were instructed not to approach Hunter Biden’s residence and to stand by, which deviated from standard investigative procedures.

While the agent couldn’t confirm if the procedural changes were politically motivated, he did state his disagreements with certain investigative steps.
Despite these disagreements, he acknowledged the final decision and continued with the investigation.
House Oversight Committee Chairman, Comer, stated that further investigations would be conducted into the Justice Department’s actions to ensure that justice is consistent and not based on bias.
