Let us trust God and our better judgment to set us right hereafter. United we stand, divided we fall. Let us not split into factions which must destroy that union upon which our existence hangs. Let us preserve our strength for the French, the English, the Germans, or whoever else shall dare invade our territory, and not exhaust it in civil commotions and intestine wars.
Patrick Henry, Last public speech before his death (4 March 1799); as quoted in Patrick Henry: Life, Correspondences and Speeches (1891) by William Wirt Henry, Vol. 2

I’ve tweeted this to Chris Cuomo and it is on my fb page! I am a Disabled Multiservice American Veteran and Our Union is at threat with this plague and EQUALLY with hate on both sides. Can we all admit we are all human first, here in the USA and not some jungle clearing with no facilities? Oh, it ain’t perfect, but it is the country I’ve bled, been dismembered, have TBI and head injuries, seen others die for!!! …that has to stand for something, i hope…because i do still have pain every day and night and do bleed and even have spinal fluid occassionally leak into my mouth from my broken blood brain barrier. is…is my struggle to daily find a raison d’etre’ through all the pain because of Veteran Pride for naught?
