Ever since the horrible shooting in Charleston, South Carolina, liberals have been constantly fighting to have the Confederate flag removed from every part of society.
They have also been recently demanding statutes of famous figures throughout history be taken down because they’re “monuments to slavery,” such as the statues of Thomas Jefferson because he owned slaves.

Why aren’t liberals demanding these be taken down?
Because it wouldn’t help push their agenda.

Slavery was horrible, and while it existed in nearly every country in the past, it is now abolished throughout the world. The only country that still practices slavery, although the government denies it, is the Islamic country in Africa, Mauritania, where 10-20% of the population are enslaved.
Many historic monuments were touched by slaves because they were the work force thousands of years ago. That doesn’t mean they should all be taken down.
Let’s actually start focusing on things that REALLY matter instead of this silly “debate.”
