In shedding light on the possible motive behind this gruesome attack, a spokesperson from Riverside police revealed to Fox News Digital that the victim and suspect, both homeless, had been embroiled in an ongoing dispute.
“This assault may have stemmed from a recent and ongoing dispute both have been having with each other,” the spokesperson stated.
In an equally disturbing incident, but unrelated to the one in California, a Massachusetts police officer was compelled to shoot a man who was aggressively advancing towards him with a sword.

The Worcester district attorney’s office reported that the man was promptly hospitalized following the shooting, but did not disclose his condition or the circumstances leading up to the encounter.
The officer involved was unharmed and has since been placed on paid administrative leave in line with the department’s protocol when an officer discharges their firearm, the district attorney’s office noted.
The identities of both the officer and the suspect have yet to be disclosed.
These recent sword-related crimes underscore the escalating violence in Democrat-dominated areas, further highlighting the urgent need for effective crime control measures.
