Top House Democrat Rep. Jackie Speier made the inflammatory claim, without evidence, that members of the Supreme Court tipped off pro-life demonstrators prior to the release of the decision that reversed Roe v. Wade.
We assume she made this absurd and false claim to further inflame the mobs (domestic terrorists) that are wreaking havoc across the country simply because the Supreme Court made a decision they disagree with.
Constitutional law professor Jonathan Turley demolishes Speier’s claim in a twitter thread while simultaneously defending the Congresswoman’s right to free speech and her right to spread disinformation online if she wishes.

Turley starts by restating Speier’s inflammatory claim:
Rep. Jackie Speier (D-CA) told MSNBC yesterday that she believed that the Supreme Court “tipped off” pro-life demonstrators about the release of the opinion in advance…

…She continued by saying “There aren’t any pro-choice people here yet, and these folks were there. So, I do. I believe they were tipped off. I don’t have any evidence of that.”

Turley then lets Speier have it with both barrels, although he did so diplomatically by saying “There is of course another possibility beyond a conspiracy:”

Turley then goes for the jugular by pointing out Rep. Speier’s hypocrisy regarding the spread of so called “disinformation:”

Finally Turley ends this thread by mocking Speier’s claim while defending Speier’s right to free speech online:
…The only true element in this conspiracy statement is the admission that she has no evidence to support it. Yet, I still would be opposed to censoring or blocking such statements as disinformation. https://t.co/jdSsYsCaOP

Jonathon Turley nails this one, too bad no Democrat would ever appoint him to the Supreme Court where he might be able to do a lot more good than he is now.
Democrats like Jackie Speier should be ashamed for spreading fear and lies over the Supreme Court’s decision to reverse Roe, but they seem to have no capacity for shame, only a raw lust for power at any cost.
