Leftists are having a fit that a flyer promoting a middle school spring chorus had a printing error that made a cartoon black kid look really black.
It’s Racism™! They insist.

A local clergyman at New Jersey’s Frelinghuysen Middle School noticed that a pamphlet promoting the “Spring Concert Chorous” contained one rather odd-looking character. He said that it “rekindles bad memories of white Morristown teachers reading Little Black Sambo to him decades ago.”

It turns out that the school was merely photocopying an image that was originally in full color. Here’s the original:
Pretty “incisive,” eh? Pretty “diverse?” But the copier didn’t capture the tonal gradations very well, leaving most of the kids pretty “white” except for one particularly dark kid.

After great community uproar, including a two-hour public meeting, Superintendent Mackey Pendergrast and Principal Joseph Uglialoro were are sorry as they could be. “I am deeply sorry for distribution of the chorus flyer program. I am committed to do better,” Uglialoro said.
So they have a plan. Is it to tell all these whiny, butt-hurt race-baiting leftists to just please shut up for once? Sadly, no.
They’re going to contact the state Civil Rights division to launch an investigation. They’re going to have no fewer than four community meetings. They’re going to implement a strict policy where all materials must be approved by a supervisor before being distributed. They’re going to meet with the NAACP, the local Human Rights Commission and, yes … Black Lives Matter.

They’re meeting with a group called “Melanin Minds” too.
There will be workshops and training sessions on “diversity” and “race relations”

Can you believe this? All this uproar over a printing error?
At one of these meetings, people expressed disgust that there weren’t more white people there.
Seriously? Maybe because anybody who would attend a meeting has a built-in reservoir of anger and bitterness. I wouldn’t want to be a white person walking into that room either?
If this is truly what people have to get worked up about in “Trump’s America,” than we certainly have come a long way for the better.
