Former Vice President Joe Biden has backed himself into a corner by declaring that he would pick a female vice-presidential candidate.
The Democratic front runner for the presidential nomination has been speculated to have former Democrat presidential candidate Hillary Clinton on the short list.
Many have also considered Sens. Kamala Harris and Elizabeth Warren to be among those Biden could choose from.

But now that President Donald Trump has made Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer one of his enemies Biden admitted she is on his short list.
I love Michigan, one of the reasons we are doing such a GREAT job for them during this horrible Pandemic. Yet your Governor, Gretchen “Half” Whitmer is way in over her head, she doesn’t have a clue. Likes blaming everyone for her own ineptitude! #MAGA

“If you are indeed the nominee, can you share with us at least how many names are on your potential grab bag list for vice president and if any of the figures who have emerged from this coronavirus crisis — thinking specifically of, say, the governor of Michigan — if any of those figures have lengthened the list?” Williams said to Biden.
“She hadn’t lengthened the list — she made the list, in my mind, two months ago,” the former vice president said.
The Michigan governor has been criticized after she decided to crack down on prescriptions of hydroxychloroquine, a drug that President Donald Trump has said helps fight coronavirus.
“Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer has come under criticism for a statewide order cracking down on prescriptions of hydroxychloroquine, a drug touted by President Trump to treat the novel coronavirus,” The Washington Times said.
“The Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs issued an order Wednesday warning physicians against writing prescriptions ‘without a legitimate medical purpose’ and instructing pharmacists to evaluate the ‘legitimacy’ of hydroxychloroquine or chloroquine prescriptions,” it said.

Studies done in other nations have shown that the drug has the potential to work on those who have the disease.
But many believe that the Michigan governor is playing politics with the inexpensive drugs with her decree.
“During a time of crisis, in which physicians continue to see patients despite not having enough protective gear, this threatening, authoritarian stance from our governor is counterproductive at best,” Kathy Hoekstra of the Pacific Legal Foundation said in an op-ed for The Detroit News.
“The implications of Whitmer and her administration’s knee-jerk scare tactics should terrify all Michigan residents.

“Not only is our state’s top leader threatening the selfless health care workers who are on the frontline trying to save lives, but she’s denying possible life-saving medications to actual COVID-19 victims,” she said.
