A small plane’s fiery crash north of Seattle was captured on video footage from a car’s dash cam.

The single-engine plane crashed Tuesday afternoon in the town of Mukilteo, damaging several cars, but there were somehow no serious injuries.

The crash was reported about 3:40 p.m., shortly after taking off from nearby Paine Field airport. Traffic on Mukilteo Speedway is still closed, as are nearby commuter bus routes.
The Seattle Times is reporting that the crash also caused widespread, but brief power outages.

“I’m so lucky,” said driver Amanda Hayes, who told KOMO News the plane’s wing scraped her car. “I just said, ‘Get down!’ And before I know it, I could feel the heat on my face… and like the fireball and the wing clipped at the end.”
The National Transportation Safety Board is now investigating the crash.
Officials told KOMO-TV the quick-thinking pilot lost power at 500 feet, and when he couldn’t restart the plane, he turned the plummeting aircraft towards an empty spot on the boulevard.
