Florida Governor and possible 2024 presidential candidate Ron DeSantis just made a major move against venues hosting drag shows open to minors as Florida’s Voice News reports:
“Gov. Ron DeSantis’ administration is revoking the Hyatt Regency Miami’s alcohol license for hosting a “sexually explicit show with children present,” according to governor’s office Tuesday.

Sadly DeSantis is still an outlier on this type of thing but hopefully other GOP governors take follow with similar actions in their states.
Bottom line have no issue with adults wanting to perform in drag but to make this type of show available to minors is beyond the pale.
Today the House passed my bill, H 256. What does the bill do?
1. Prohibits minors from being in attendance at sexually explicit drag shows.
That’s it. This bill is very simple and it does not ban drag shows or other performances. It simply protects our children. #idpol #idleg pic.twitter.com/1eAaNSx8cU
