If liberals had their way, Chick-fil-A would have gone out of business years ago…which would have had devastating, and very unexpected, consequences in Houston, Texas.
WSB-TV Atlanta reports that as their home begin to fill with water on Monday, elderly couple Karen and J.C. Spencer called…their local Chick-fil-a location. It seems the couple were regular enough customers and close enough to the manager that it was the right move.

“We had to get out of there so I called Chick-fil-A, now that sounds kind of funny,” J.C. Spencer said in an interview on “GMA” Wednesday. “I ordered two grilled chicken burritos with extra egg and a boat. And can you believe that one of the managers of Chick-fil-A, she sent her husband to pick us up and we are so grateful.”
The couple said they were in the process of figuring out which of their most-prized possessions could fit onto the small rescue boat when the Jet Ski riders showed up and offered to take the couple to higher ground.
“Karen jumped on the back of a Jet Ski and I jumped on the back of another one and they evacuated us to higher ground,” J.C. explained.
It sounds like the jet skiers were unrelated to the boat sent by the Chick-fil-a’s manager; apparently the Spencers are still attempting identify those two so they can properly thank them.
In any event, this should be a lesson to every arrogant liberal who declared war on Chick-fil-a for no other reason than the owners’ unapologetic acceptance of Christian teaching about homosexuality (never mind that there was no evidence whatsoever those beliefs translated to any mistreatment of gay employees or customers): the authentic Christianity they despise so much isn’t just a source of moral values that make liberals uncomfortable; it is also what drives countless acts of kindness, sacrifice, and even heroism — and the former can’t be purged from America without seriously depleting the latter.
