A HuffPo writer has went too far. (Shocking, I know).
He not only believes President Trump should be removed from office — he also argues he should be charged for treason and potentially executed.
One website reported on this horrific piece by Jason Fuller:

The words that followed in Fuller’s piece made it clear that, even though he demanded due process, he fully believes the President is guilty of treason.

“I think that most of us among the electorate knew that his presidency would be a relative disaster but I am not sure how many among us expected the catastrophe our nation now faces,” Fuller’s piece continued, going on to claim that “any quick internet search or flip of the TV to a credible news source will run down the most recent scandal before the next commercial break.”

Fuller went on to rant about the President’s scaling back of Obama’s environmental policies, immigration reform and firing of former FBI Director James Comey.
Further, providing no evidence and speaking contrary to statements Comey himself has made, Fuller wrote, “there is very little doubt left that Trump and his team colluded with members of the Russian government to try and rig the election in his favor.”
As stated by this site, Fuller’s piece was printed just days before the shooting of Republican congressmen while they practiced on the baseball field.
I’m not suggesting this piece inspired Hodgkinson’s shooting but it certainly didn’t hurt.
This just isn’t the type of discourse we need in society.

Although The Huffington Post took down Fuller’s piece, he still stands by his position.
Even on Twitter, he has defended himself by tweeting:

“If I felt that ANY president were guilty of the types of crimes Trump has committed, I would make a similar plea.
So many people don’t seem to understand that #treason IS a potentially capital offense; execution IS an available punishment for it.Side note: Wanting a CRIMINAL to face a CRIMINAL probe and CRIMINAL prosecution is now #treason.
It’s pretty bad when even Kathy Griffin outclasses you.
What she did was disgusting — but at least she recognizes it.
