Though President Donald Trump’s election-related legal battle continue to be fought across the country, former Vice President Joe Biden and his team are already preparing for their White House takeover in January, even going as far as selecting a number of his top staffing picks for his administration.
One of those picks is his longtime adviser and former title holder in Barack Obama’s White House, Antony Blinken. Multiple mainstream media outlets have reported that Biden has tapped Blinken for the coveted secretary of state Cabinet position.
According to Fox News, it’s not a secret that Biden and Blinken go way back in working together, as Blinken was the former deputy national security adviser. But recent emails show that Blinken might have had another interesting relationship with the Biden family — with Hunter Biden, to be specific.

State Department emails that were released in 2019 via a Freedom of Information Act request revealed that Hunter Biden and Blinken met while the junior Biden was sitting on the board of Burisma, the Ukrainian energy company at the heart of some of the shady, overseas dealings that Hunter Biden was involved with.
“Have a few minutes next week to grab a cup of coffee? I know you are impossibly busy, but would like to get your advice on a couple of things,” Hunter Biden wrote in an email to Blinken on May 22, 2015.

Blinken’s response: “Absolutely.” Details of the meeting time and place followed in several follow-up emails. In an email from Blinken’s assistance, it appears as if the two finally met on May 27, just five days after Hunter Biden’s request.
That was just one of the times the two allegedly met, as additional emails suggested that they also met in July.

That has many Republicans — including two prominent Republican senators, Chuck Grassley and Ron Johnson, who are currently still investigating the Hunter Biden scandal — wondering exactly what it was that the two men had to meet up for.
As a matter of fact, in November 2019, Grassley and Johnson requested documentation from Secretary of State Mike Pompeo regarding all the meetings between Blinken and Hunter Biden, to include any hint of what the two men were meeting up for.
As of this writing, it’s still unclear why the two men were in contact during that specific time period, when Hunter Biden was making unbelievable amounts of money by sitting on the board of a foreign energy company with virtually zero experience in the industry.
The only thing we do know is that Joe Biden was the point-man for Ukraine under the Obama administration and with Blinken as his top adviser, it’s not a stretch to wonder just how involved Blinken was in Hunter Biden’s seedy dealings.
That’s especially important to know given the fact that Blinken very well could be the next secretary of state. Let’s just hope he’s not as compromised as Joe Biden.
