To say things have gotten a little out of hand after the January 6 Capitol riots would be a massive understatement.
Katie Couric, a so-called “journalist” who has ridden her “unbiased” claims to the top of the A-list over past decades, finally revealed who she really is during an interview on “Real Time with Bill Maher” last week when she called for those who support President Donald Trump to be deprogrammed.”
Here’s what Couric said that has many in the media saying that Couric has officially turned in her “non-partisan” journalism card.

“It is so shocking. … Not only are they not conceding, Bill, but their thoughts — that there might have been some collusion among members of Congress, some are refusing to go through magnetometers … to check for weapons, they’re not wearing masks during this siege,” Couric said before dropping a bomb.
“I mean, it’s really bizarre, isn’t it, when you think about how AWOL so many of these members of Congress have gotten. But I also think some of them are believing the garbage that they are being fed 24/7 on the internet, by their constituents, and they bought into this big lie. And the question is how are we going to really almost deprogram these people who have signed up for the cult of Trump.“

According to Fox News, NewsBusters executive editor Tim Graham slammed Couric for her comments.
“Katie is ‘retired’ from any ‘objective’ news duties,” Graham said. “She has been a partisan for a long time.”
“Katie Couric making such offensive comments comes as no surprise, she is part of a media complex that deliberately stifled the flow of information negative to Biden in order to interfere in the election,” said Cornell Law School professor and media critic William A. Jacobson, while adding that threatening to deprogram the president’s supporters is now “common among liberal journalists.”
The Hill columnist and Fox News contributor Joe Concha made similar remarks in response to Couric’s call for deprogramming.

“This sort of rhetoric from Couric — which comes across as so condescending and elitist — underscores the divide between our media, which primarily resides in New York and Washington, and the rest of the country, which is moderate to center-right per multiple polls. And it’s why the industry is so mistrusted and frowned upon.”
Couric, once a highly-respected television journalist who has nothing less than an impressive resume, tossed it all away just so she could be one of the cool kids of the elitist media world, in hopes that she won’t suffer any consequences now that Democrats control all of Washington D.C.
I was never really a fan of hers before, not for any particular reason, but I’ll make sure to go out of my way to avoid her at all costs moving forward, and I urge you to do the same.
