If you’ll recall, the otherwise quiet city of Kenosha, Wisconsin turned into a scene from a post-apocalyptic movie on the heels of the police-involved shooting of Jacob Blake. The city went from quiet, midwestern USA to an absolute nightmare in rapid fashion.
Out of all the incidents that took place that night in Kenosha, one of the most prominent was the situation involving teenager Kyle Rittenhouse, who was armed and eventually used his firearm against rioters, claiming he shot three people in self-defense. Two of those three people died of their injuries.
Rittenhouse was charged with first-degree intentional homicide, first-degree reckless homicide, and attempted first-degree intentional homicide for his actions on August 25. Many painted him as a villain, while many others defended his actions, especially in the wake of several videos that emerged of the incident which appeared to show Rittenhouse being attacked by those in the crowd.

“Wisconsin is an open carry state. You’ve seen the video of what was going on in that city. It was a war zone, and Kyle had every right — just as much a right — to be there as the people that were trying to burn down that city, and he was attempting to protect property and attempting to be there to provide medical aid,” his attorney argued.
Since then, he’s been locked up in the Kenosha County Jail while the media, lawyers and civil rights groups decide whether or not he acted in self-defense or cold-blooded murder.

However, according to Breitbart, Rittenhouse was released on Friday from the county jail on a $2 million bond, which was arranged by his attorney.
“Kyle Rittenhouse’s bond was posted this afternoon at about 2:00 pm which was set up through his attorney,” said Kenosha County Sheriff’s Sgt. David Wright. “He is no longer in custody at the Kenosha County Jail.”

Twitter’s reaction to Rittenhouse being released on bond was swift, with many high-profile conservatives thanking those who donated to a bail fund set up for the young man.

Kyle Rittenhouse has been released from jail on a $2 million bond.
Shameful he has to go through this despite defending himself from ANTIFA.

Rittenhouse’s release is great for him, but he’ll undoubtedly face a mountain of legal hurdles in the near future. But given how high-profile his case has become, he’ll fortunately have the resources of some of the best lawyers in the country at his back.
