Save for the abysmal, Twitter-like spelling, the sign seems both pretty awesome and rather funny to me. In my opinion, Salama did a great job pithily explaining his establishment’s rules to its presumably sometimes raucous patrons.
Many St. Petersberg locals felt otherwise, including some of Salama’s fellow Muslims.

“Most who got mad were my people,” he said to news station KSLA, according to TheBlaze. “I got people who came from the mosque trying to tell me you shouldn’t put your name like that because this is really not representing the name or the religion.”
Actually, keeping his name on the sign could very well be a good thing, as it would show other Americans that everyday Muslims are as down-to-Earth and “chill,” as the kids would say, as everybody else.

You know what? I quite like the cut of this young man’s jib!
Kudos to you, Mr. Salama, for serving as a somewhat positive example for your fellow Muslims, though as a writer, I humbly ask that you work on your spelling, ;-).
