The fallout from the results of the 2020 election has been frustrating for Republican voters, who came out in record numbers to support President Donald Trump in what should have been a fairly easy win against former Vice President Joe Biden.
With reports emerging by the day that ballot “irregularities” have taken place in a number of the key battleground states that Trump was counting on to win the election, it’s no wonder that a majority of Republican voters still believe that Trump “rightfully won” the 2020 election.
According to Breitbart, a new Reuters/Ipsos opinion poll released this week indicated that 52 percent of Republicans firmly believe that Trump won a second term in the White House. About 29 percent of Republicans surveyed said that they believe Biden “rightfully won” the election.

Adding to that data, not only did a majority of Republican voters claim Trump was the clear victor, but an even greater percentage — at 68 percent — feel that the 2020 election was rigged in favor of Biden.
“Republicans were much more concerned than others that state vote counters had tipped the result toward Biden: 68% of Republicans said they were concerned that the election was “rigged,” while only 16% of Democrats and one-third of independents were similarly worried,” a report on the poll explained.

The poll, which sampled 1,346 respondents, revealed that 73 percent believe that Biden is the winner, however, the poll did sample slightly more Democrats than Republicans.
Even after more than two weeks since election day, Trump has repeatedly insisted that the 2020 election was rigged and stolen from him, blaming a number of issues such as improper ballot counting, voting software glitches that switched votes from Trump to Biden or deleted Trump votes altogether, and reports that Republican poll watchers were denied their legal rights to observe the ballot-counting process in key areas.

On Wednesday, Trump dialed in on happenings in Michigan — a state he won in 2016 but, as of now, has been declared a Biden win.
“The Great State of Michigan, with votes being far greater than the number of people who voted, cannot certify the election. The Democrats cheated big time, and got caught. A Republican WIN!” Trump tweeted.

In a previous tweet, he insisted that the voting results in Detroit were a “scam.”

“In Detroit, there are FAR MORE VOTES THAN PEOPLE. Nothing can be done to cure that giant scam. I win Michigan!” Trump tweeted.
It shouldn’t come as a surprise that millions of Americans are still 100 percent certain that Trump will retain the White House for a second term, especially if more reports emerge in key battleground states which call American election integrity further into question.
