Young Conservatives busted The New York Times after the dishonest news outlet “stealth edited” an article that claimed only 16 of 240,000 murders were committed by Islamic extremists.

The author of the piece, Glenn Thrush, became infamous after being exposed as being a “hack” (his words, not ours) in the Wikileaks dump. He was communicating with Democrats whom he asked to approve a story he planned to run about Hillary Clinton.
The article discussed the revised Trump “travel ban,” and contained a very obvious lie at the end.

Young Conservatives pointed out how and why this is false in an article of their own. They listed the number of high-profile attacks that were carried out by Muslim extremists in the United States, including Orlando (49 dead 53 wounded), San Bernardino (14), Chattanooga (4), Boston (4 including a police officer) as well as some lesser-known attacks such as the Somali refugee in Ohio who rammed his vehicle into a crowd and then began attacking people with a knife.
Now I’m no math whiz but I’m relatively certain that 49 is higher than 16, and I’m sure that 71 is much larger.
The obviously-fudged numbers didn’t stop leftists from sharing the fake news on Twitter.

After the Young Conservative article ran, their readers then noted that the New York Times piece had been revised without warning, and the lie about Muslim extremism removed from the story.
For those interested, here is a link to the original, unedited story, and here is the link to the story that was edited without warning readers.
Now it’s not all that surprising that a self-named “hack” would not only lie in a story about Muslims, but then go back and pretend it never happened after being called out. Unfortunately, that’s the world we live in today and you can’t trust a lot of these “reputable” news sources anymore.

I’m glad there are still people who are dedicated to getting the fact out there regardless of how unpopular the truth may be.
