Democrats hate ordinary citizens, and it is during times like now, where it becomes really apparent.
In New Jersey the state’s Chief Justice, Stuart Rabner, has ordered up to 1,000 prisoners in the state be released due to the threat posed by the coronavirus.
The Chief Justice released two classes of prisoners, those imprisoned for low level crimes and those in prison for probation violations.

Attorney General Gurbir Grewal and the County Prosecutors Association of the State of New Jersey also signed onto the agreement.

The order allows county prosecutors to challenge the release of inmates. It also suspends their sentences until the coronavirus crisis has passed rather than commute the sentences, but gives judges the discretion whether to order inmates back to jail later or give them credit for time served. …
The Public Defender’s Office first sought the release Thursday in a letter to Rabner.

“It is inevitable that the virus will spread into the county jails and, when that happens, the health and well-being of inmates and jail staff members will be at tremendous risk,” Public Defender Joseph Krakora wrote. “It is therefore incumbent upon the criminal justice system to reduce our county jail populations to the extent possible without compromising public safety.”
ACLU-NJ Executive Director Amol Singha said in a statement that the organization was “proud” of New Jersey for freeing the prisoners and that “unprecedented times call for rethinking normal ways of doing things.”
Unprecedented times call for rethinking normal ways of doing things.
Now, that means releasing people who pose little risk to their communities, recognizing the public health need and the dignity of people who are incarcerated.

If the people being released “pose little risk to their communities” why are they in jail?
The governor of the state says that his top priority is the “health and safety of ALL New Jerseyans.”
My top priority is the health and safety of ALL New Jerseyans – including those who are incarcerated.
I commend @NewJerseyOAG, county prosecutors, @NJPUBDEF and @ACLUNJ for balancing public health, public safety, and victims’ rights.

The order releasing prisoners comes just as New Jersey goes into lockdown, with state Attorney General Gurbir Grewal threatening “serious legal consequences” for those who disobey.
Gov Murphy, New Jersey, is letting prisoners out of jail, free to roam where ever they desire, while charging non-criminal citizens with Disorderly Conduct – a $1000 fine, up to 364 days in jail. Before the governor lets out prisoners he should first let people out of their homes.

There’s another problem with the governors claim that his top priority is the health and safety of New Jersey’s residents.
At the same time the state is mass releasing prisoners the governor has shut down the state’s gun shops as “non-essential” thereby depriving residents of the means to defend themselves.

Gov. Phil Murphy’s executive order to close all non-essential retail business has forced gun dealers, who were experiencing a spike in sales amid the anxiety surrounding the coronavirus pandemic, to shut down.

On Saturday, the online service used to process background checks for firearm dealers, the New Jersey National Instant Criminal Background Check System, told stores they can no longer process requests.
“Per Executive Order 107, (Murphy) is ordering the residents of New Jersey to stay home, directing all non-essential retail businesses closed to the public,” a notice on the online system states. “At this time, the order includes New Jersey Firearms State Licensed Dealers.”
Letting out prisoners in the middle of a pandemic, threatening citizens with fines for leaving their homes for non-approved reasons, and closing gun stores to honest law abiding citizens. What could go wrong?
Why anyone would vote for a Democrat is beyond me. It’s times like these when they really show their true colors.
