
Sometimes you really have to wonder if Mr. President is taking stupid pills or something. Every time there is violence in – well, anywhere – he and his cronies are singing the praises of gun control.

Let’s take a page from the liberal media for a moment and ignore common sense. While the President makes a POINT called for gun control after almost every major mass shooting incident, to state the need for greater nationwide gun control measures. He did so perhaps most forcefully the night of the Oregon campus shooting, which took place on October 1. “[T]his is something we should politicize,” the president said adding, “This is a political choice that we make to allow this to happen every few months in America.”

Obama pointed toAustralia, as an example the United States should follow. That nation adopted strict gun control laws in the 1990s, which resulted in over 600,000 firearms being confiscated from its citizens.

That sounds like America to me.
Here’s the thing Barack and his buddies didn’t bet on: They, and their cries for ‘gun control’ have done nothing but boost sales DRAMATICALLY for firearms.

Currently, anyone who seeks to buy a firearm from a licensed gun dealer must undergo a background check. However, individuals who sell, trade or gift firearms to each other privately are not required to perform a check. The majority of weapons are sold through licensed dealers. Both Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton have called for so-called “universal background checks” to require private transfers be covered, undoubtedly with criminal liability for those who fail to do so.

opposes universal background checks because the move would necessitate a national gun registry of all firearms violating Americans’ right to privacy and infringe on their Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms. NRA Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre argues that “All around the world, registration has led to confiscation: Australia, Canada, Bermuda, Cuba, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Ireland. The list goes on.”
