For the first time since big tech social media completely de-platformed him last week, President Donald Trump took a few minutes of his time during a trip to Texas to speak with extremely hungry reporters about his thoughts of the aftermath of the Capitol riots.
According to the Washington Examiner, Trump had quite a bit to say in that short time frame, telling reporters that he believes what he said prior to the deadly assault on the U.S. Capitol Building that his speech was “totally appropriate” and that a number of experts have agreed that he was not responsible for “inciting” a riot.
“If you read my speech, and many people have done it and I’ve seen it both in the papers and in the media, on television, it’s been analyzed and people thought that what I said was totally appropriate,” the president said.

The president then commented on the state of the border wall and its positive effects on the United States during his time in the White House.
“We’re stopping in large numbers the drugs coming into the country for many, many years and decades,” Trump said. “We’re stopping a lot of illegal immigration.”
He also slammed Democrats for attempting to impeach him for a second time, which would make him the first president to be twice-impeached if Democrats carry through with the process starting on Wednesday.
The president not only called the impeachment attempt a “continuation of the greatest witch hunt in the history of politics” but also pointed out something that the liberal mainstream media isn’t talking about — the fact that another impeachment attempt could very well stoke more anger among his supporters. “I think it’s causing tremendous anger,” he added.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi threatened the president over the weekend, demanding that either he resign or be removed via the 25th Amendment or face yet another impeachment trial. At this point, all signs point to the president calling her bluff and carrying out the remaining days of his presidency by highlighting his numerous achievements while in office.
