Psaki Caught Lying About Cause of Higher Gas Prices, Claims Not Because of Biden, Prices Going Up Because of Putin

Once again White house Press Secretary Jen Psaki got caught lying through her teeth to the American people about what has caused oil and gas prices to rise over the past twelve months.

Today, during the daily white House press conference Psaki said “The reason why the price of gas is going up is not because of steps the president has taken, they are because President Putin is invading Ukraine, and that is creating great deal of instability in the global market place.”

Frankly this bullshit and a blizzard of lies and Psaki knows it.

While Putin invading Ukraine has added some uncertainty and instability to the international oil market it is not the primary reason Americans have seen mass price increases at the gas pump over the past 12 months.

In fact according to Reuters oil prices have only increased 4% since Putin invaded Ukraine.

One could easily argue that Joe Biden’s energy policies have had more to do with rising energy costs in this country than anything Putin has done so far.

By cutting off Keystone and banning new oil and gas leases on federal land among other things Biden has done a lot to cause prices to rise at the pump.

If the Biden administration really wants to minimize the impact of energy prices to the American consumer they’d be focusing on maximizing U.S. energy production.

The United States of America was energy independent just over a year ago and can be again in short order. The fact that this country is still importing Russian oil is a disgrace.

The energy markets are largely based on “futures” so if the Biden administration took action today and went all in on new oil and gas production the markets would respond sooner rather than later as other energy producers lowered prices to get ahead of the curve.

So again, Jen Psaki is lying about the cause of higher prices at the pump over the last twelve months and she knows it.

This administration wants higher oil and gas prices thinking it will force the American people to demand electric energy and their so called Green New Deal.

My sense is they are wrong and it will instead force the American people to hand the Democrats landslide defeats in the the next two election cycles.

At the moment our country is being run by unserious people who live in an alternate reality from the rest of us and China, Russia and Iran will eat our lunch until such time as this changes.
